Mr. Philipose Oommen has over 36 years of hands-on experience in the Manufacturing and Assembly field of Helicopters. He was responsible for complete machining of components being head of the Machine Shop and later was given additional responsibility of Transmission Assembly, Prototype and MRO. In these roles he played a vital role in ensuring maintaining strict quality control and defect free components and assemblies. He was also team member of various defect investigation teams providing important background information and insights to the failures and defects seen.

An experienced Aerospace professional with over 35 years of service in the industry.

Mr. Mohan Paul was one of the original team members of the ALH Project of RWRDC. He was responsible initially as a Methods Engineer for the manufacturing of primarily complex Gearbox and Rotor Head components. Later spent over 11 years heading Transmission Assembly for Prototype and Production Helicopters. During this period, he was also on the team for various defect investigations and also an AS9100 Systems and Quality Auditor. On leaving HAL, he worked as a manufacturing Engineer for Collins Aerospace as part of their Global Supply Chain with responsibility for India and South East Asia Suppliers. This role involved developing new suppliers to meet the stringent Aerospace requirements, AS8100 Audits, Special Process support, including Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Surface Coatings, etc. and Assembly. At present working as a consultant in the aerospace manufacturing field

Formerly an Outstanding Scientist with DRDO, Mr. Sreedhar brings over 35 years of national and international experience in designing and developing aero-gas turbine engines. His expertise includes rotating machinery dynamics, bearings, carbon seals, and advanced simulation software development for design and vibration investigations. Mr. Sreedhar is a Six Sigma Black Belt (ISIB), a TUV Nord Certified QMS Lead Auditor ISO9001:2015, IA AS9100D, and DGAQA-AFQMS Certified Head of R&QA for Special Process. He has been pivotal in establishing quality management systems and advanced quality control infrastructure.

Mr. Bhattacharya brings with him a wealth of over 37 years in the Aerospace Industry with his main domain experience being the development of Helicopter Drive Systems, Defect / Accident Investigations and supervision of product life cycle development from the prototype stage to production, maintenance and overall. In addition, worked as a Design Liaison Engineer and provided mentorship and guidance to young and upcoming engineers. Also served, post-retirement as Consultant – Propulsion Systems, NAL, Bangalore 

B.Tech (Electrical Engineering), M.Tech in Aircraft Production Engineering – IIT Madras.

Mr. Sathyan brings over 36 years of experience in the helicopter industry at HAL, spanning the Ground Test Centre, LRU Lab, Transmission Assembly and Final Assembly. He is an expert in developing instrumentation and automation software (C, C++ and NI LabVIEW, PLC ladder Logic) for helicopter transmission test rigs. He managed the acceptance and certification testing of the ALH, LCH and Sea King transmission systems, established the Ground Test Vehicle for Sea King gearboxes for the Indian Navy, and designed an electrically closed-loop test facility for the LUH helicopter gearbox under R&D. He is trained at Brüel & Kjær (Denmark), Moog Controls (UK) and National Instruments.

He has established Test Facilities for Production and MRO facilities of flying fleets of 300+ Helicopters and managed successfully the acceptance test for 3  types of helicopters. He also conducted dry run tests of gear boxes, Drop tests for Skid Landing gear, Endurance testing of bearings. He has coordinated final assembly and flight-testing activities for LUH Helicopter as responsible officer for Research and Development

 B Tech (MIT-Chennai), M S in Helicopter Engineering from ENSICA TOULOUSE, FRANCE.

Mr. Narayanan is an Aerospace Design Engineer with over 35 years of experience in the Aerospace domain. He was primarily responsible for the design and development of Rotor Systems for Helicopters. His vast experience includes the design, development, maintenance and overhaul of Rotor Systems and other related assemblies. He is also well-versed in failure and defect investigation of various assemblies and components.

Mr. Reddy has over 35 years of hard-core experience in Quality particularly in the Helicopter Industry. He was responsible for Inspection and acceptance of various mechanical and structural components and assemblies. Well-versed with the AS9100 Quality standards and was responsible as lead auditor for AS9100, Quality System audits at HAL, Helicopters and other divisions. Involved in all defect and failure investigations of components and assemblies, providing valuable quality support for inspection and suggestions for improvement

Mr. Sethumadhavan is a hard-core quality specialist having played a vital role in quality control of components and assemblies in the helicopter field. This also included machined, sheet metal and composite components and assemblies. He was the lead auditor for various AS9100 and quality systems in different areas and systems. Mr. Sethumadhavan was a nodal point for all defect and failure investigations of various components and assemblies. His vast knowledge of the aerospace field has helped in providing solutions and improving quality to prevent further failures.

Mr. Venugopal is a senior professional with over 38 years of dedicated experience in design and development of test stand set-up, static and fatigue testing of aircraft structures and components, ground resonance testing and system testing of various aircraft and helicopters. He has worked in HAL A/C division on testing of HF-24 Fighter, Kiran Trainer, Ajeet and Ajeet Trainer, Basant Agricultural Aircraft, HPT-32 and HTT-34 and was involved in the planning of facilities for Light Combat Aircraft. 

Mr. Venugopal spear headed the development testing of the ALH ‘Dhruv’ helicopter developing test rigs for testing of transmission systems of Dhruv and Sea King Helicopters including the establishment of a Multi-purpose Test Rig for Helicopter Transmission Systems. He helped in the development of a pneumatic suspension system for vibration testing of helicopters and a spin up test stand for undercarriage drop test. From 2009 to 2020, he worked at QuEST Global Engineering Services, Bangalore as a Consultant in Aeronautical and related domains supporting ODCs of GE, Airbus, RR etc.
